Hi! It's nice to be back!
I am writing this entry because my students really want to see me blogging about their education. So here I am, on a Sunday evening, because I have to keep my promises!
It's been 3 years since I last posted and there are many new things in my life. Frist of all I am lucky to have 37 amazing students that I am extremely proud of. They show me every day that nothing is obvious and even at the age of 26 I still have things to learn.
Working at school takes a lot of time from my private life- preparing for the lessons, writing plans, preparing tests, additional materials, checking tests and other papers... but it's okay, because when I see that my students are learning my day becomes brighter!
My favourite part of our learning is definitely the "key question". What is it? Well, we talk about the topic, what do we already know, what do we want to know and at some point, we have some specific question. For example: when our topic was "Picnics" one of my students asked, "and where do the picnics come from?" and so we had to use google to get to know! It was awesome, because I didn't know, too! Asking key questions opens our minds to new knowledge, new ideas and sometimes even leads to changes in the perception of the world! I love it.
Another thing that I love about my job is that I can spend time with my students outside the school! School trips, short walks, even getting ice cream on warm days and playing in the park is so nice! It feels refreshing after spending long hours standing or sitting and learning hard.
The next thing that I love my job for is that I can see so many creative things. With my students even the simplest task can turn into an adventure! See pictures below. :)
I want to say THANK YOU to all of my students! I am still a teacher because of you! :D
And why do you like school? Don't hesitate to tell me. :)
